After our last gig in November at the Liver in Crosby to a very appreciative crowd we have hunkered down in the wintry weather to record our next EP. Watch this space…

Mossley Hill Beer Festival April 2018
A great cause, and great beer! What’s not to like?
Thanks to Jake Summerton for the pictures.
Rehearsal Clip
Hi folks…
Ahead of our gig next Thursday 17th May at the Liver Hotel, Crosby, here’s a little taster of what you’ll hear…
A little clip of our tune ‘Madmen’.
Come on all you madmen and women…come and feel the noise…
Smithdown Road Festival and Mental Fealth Festival 2017
We’ve just got hold of some photos from when we played the Liverpool Mental Health Festival and the Smithdown Road festival (the Fat Flamingo) on 7th October last year. What a great day – a great crowd at both venues giving us a great atmosphere, and really good to go from playing in the afternoon on an outdoor stage in Liverpool city centre for a really good cause, to the tiny, packed and sweaty Fat Flamingo in the evening, and with the wonderful Nicola Hardman on the same bill.
Thanks to Andy Summerton for the pictures 🙂
Light as Stone – rehearsal recording
Here’s a version of Light as Stone (from the Two One None EP) that we recorded in rehearsal at Vulcan Studios.
Morning-live recording
Here is a live version of ‘Morning’, from a recent rehearsal at Vulcan Studios. We’re loving the magic that Richie and Paul are sprinkling over this tune, especially as we always imagined it building up to an epic ending and we think it certainly does that (also the B9 sounds great on Kate’s new Ibanez …!). This is one of the tunes on our next EP, which we have been working on with Dom at Townsend Studios.
This song is about having no regrets, so we hope you don’t have any listening to the full six minutes! (It’s less time than it takes to read about six of Trump’s highly inflammatory tweets and we bet you regretted that…)
Jacaranda gig
We shared the stage with some great bands the other night at the Jacaranda for the We Are Live and Unsigned gig… Jamie Clague, Black Wax, Brick House and Cable and the Bay. It was packed out so there was a great atmosphere, and there was a great sound on stage (mixed by sound engineer Pat, formerly of Pink Studios, now the Motor Museum).
Here’s some great pictures from the night, taken by Jake Summerton…
Shy Lowen Gig- 9th July 2017
We had a great time playing at the annual fundraiser for Shy Lowen Horse & Pony Sanctuary in Netherton, Merseyside, on 9th July this year. The annual event is organised by Patron Mike Badger and this year raised over £1600. Loads of people turned up, the sun shone all day, and the horses and ponies got to eat a lot of carrots to a soundtrack of wonderful local musical talent!
For more information about the wonderful work Shy Lowen does with young people and horses, visit their website.
Here’s some pictures from our set taken by Andy Summerton.
We played alongside some great acts, including Campbell L Sangster, Dave Jackson’s The Room in the Wood, Dave Owen and The Kappa Band…Mike even got up to play a song!
New EP in progress!
People have been asking us lately why we’ve gone so quiet, and why we’re not playing many gigs right now.
The simple answer is, we’ve been busy writing and recording our next EP. We’re working with a new brilliant drummer and lead guitarist, and will be going into the studio soon to record the various twiddlings in glorious techni-sonic. Watch this space!
